Maestros

Since 1999, Hector Corona and Silvina Machado have been partners in instilling new synergy into Argentinian Tango on global stages. A lifelong disciple and advocate of Argentinian tango, Hector preserves the gist of Tango traditions in modern interpretations, while Silvina fuses the chemistry of classical and contemporary dance with the art form.

The voyage of Hector and Silvina has brought them around the world to widespread acclaim. In 2001, they stationed in Germany where they taught, performed and continued to hone their Tango techniques, while incorporating modern elements into traditional Tango. With their new-found insights, Hector and Silvina took their career to the next level back in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2004 to 2008. Their exploration saw a deepening of the Argentinian Tango traditions and fresh possibilities in the dance, which manifested in their positions as the main dancers and master teachers with the DNI company.

In recent years, Hector and Silvina have graced the stages at some of the most prestigious milongas* such as Salon Canning and San Tango Telmo Club y Maldita Milonga. They have also taught and performed in important European festivals in Austria, Portgual, Denmark, Germany (Tango Tage Frankfurt, La Esquina del Tango Erfurt, Alemania, Tango Vision Reutlingen, Alemania, La Mulateada en Ballhaus Rixdorf Berlin), Italy (Festival de Riccione) and  Sweden (Malmö tangofestival 2010).

The evolution of Argentinian Tango continues with Hector and Silvina, who mix the complexity of traditional Tango and its modern facets in their impeccable musicality and stunning embrace.
